teleconference on 6/28/06  from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. PDT you might want to

SAMHSA's Resource Center to Address Discrimination and Stigma
Associated
With Mental Illness is holding a free teleconference training titled,
"Overcoming Barriers and the Stigma Associated With Mental Illness In
Rural Communities." The training will take place on Wednesday, June 28
from 12 - 1:30 Eastern time.
 
In addition to offering an overview of the problems and concerns
related
to stigma and discrimination in rural America, the guest speakers will
outline models and programs currently being used to address
stigmatizing
attitudes and discriminating behavior in select rural communities
across
the Nation. You will also learn about one woman's experience of rural
stigma and how she managed to overcome negativity. The deadline for
