Hi YSPNetworkers,

The spring issue of the Teaching Tolerance magazine has a good article
that addresses bullying and harassment in middle schools for students
who are, or perceived to be, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, or
questioning (GLBTQ). Many middle schools are forming gay-straight
alliances and incorporating policies to address this important issue.
Oregon received a grade of "F" based on 6 criteria. Read the article,
"This Is Why We Need a GSA" at
http://www.tolerance.org/teach/magazine/features.jsp?p=0&is=40&ar=778.

Thanks for your youth suicide prevention work!
