Army suicides rise; prevention strategy changes, CBS News, Jul. 17, 2010
A new U.S Army suicide prevention video tells the true-life stories of soldiers who made suicide attempts or experienced serious psychological distress, and their friends and loved ones who helped them get the help they needed. The Army hopes that service members will find the new video more engaging than the previous version, which used actors instead of actual soldiers and their family members. Thirty-two active duty and reserve soldiers died by suicide in June, the highest monthly total on record.
