Thanks Donna.

Oregon Safe Schools and Communities Coalition has welcomed new support
stemming from publicity of "bullying provoked suicides". It is a delicate
process
to educate about the best research on causes of suicide, while still working
to reduce
the specific harm of harassment based on sexual orientation or gender
identity.
The article you shared will be a big help.

I still like the article from the September 2006 Prevention Researcher.
Stephen Russell wrote about the need for prevention efforts directed at all
youth,
and states that a "Same-sex sexuality does not cause suicidality; instead,
negative
social and personal reactions to sexuality create the context for suicide
risk."

It is one document I have used in recent years to get away from
normalizing suicidality for all LGBT youth.

Thanks,
Joyce
