Hello everyone,

By now I hope that those of you who were interested have had a chance to take a look at the State Library's trial version of Niche Academy. If not, it's not too late (see the original email below).

At this time we want to gather your feedback on either/both the "Library Research<https://my.nicheacademy.com/libraryresearch>" and "Staff Training<https://my.nicheacademy.com/libraryresearch>" set of tutorials we set up for your review. We have a few questions to get your opinion on the usability and usefulness of the tutorials to help us determine whether or not to continue subscribing to this product. The survey should take 5-10 minutes, depending on how much you want to share with us.

We would like your responses by Friday, May 10.

Thanks very much and we look forward to reviewing your feedback!

Original email:

Currently we have set up two collections of tutorials you can use:

  * Library Research<https://my.nicheacademy.com/libraryresearch>: Patron-focused tutorials for common library products (like OverDrive and Mango Languages) as well as tutorials on research essentials. These tutorials can be embedded on your library's website<https://docs.google.com/document/d/17XxLLgH6mqEIGqbvjjrwDg3NCjUESjLNFlemijtA5Qw/edit?usp=sharing> and also used for staff training.

  * Library Staff Training<https://my.nicheacademy.com/oregonstaff>: Tutorials for staff training in areas such as ethics, public service, reference, and technology. (Note: many of these tutorials have been developed by other libraries, so feel free to let us know if some seem not applicable to Oregon library staff.)

We encourage you, between now and the end of April, to utilize these tutorials and gather feedback from your patrons and library staff. We will be contacting you near the end of the trail to get your perception on the usability and usefulness of the tutorials to help us determine whether or not to continue subscribing to this product.
Cheers,
Darci Hanning, MLIS
