Hello Answerlanders,

A patron is looking for our help:

"Can you find reference to, or examples of, successful grants for bringing volunteers into public libraries to teach a second language? The context is that with funding, our local library could offer classes in Crow (Indian) language - our city is about 10% Native American, but Crow language is not taught anywhere except at the tribal college 60 miles away. A grant would help the library get a book kit (20 copies) of relevant materials and bring Native teachers to instruct. What sources or links should I read to start understanding specifics of successful grants that encourage local Native American language instruction in a public library?" (Note: patron is from Montana)
