[Answerland] Need help finding title of book

Good morning Answerlanders,

A fellow librarian is looking for our help: "Here at MCL we're struggling with helping a patron find a book she read around 2008. Here's what she remembers: -Patron looking for a collection of short stories published before 2008 -Possibly ya or teen lit -Main characters: Girl named Lion or Lyon -Mother Figure -Slept in a square bed and they would play a game about which direction to sleep on the bed -Another story told from the perspective of the girl on a porch swing. She stayed on the swing all summer. Does this ring any bells? We've been scouring NoveList, WorldCat, Google Books and more. Any help would be appreciated!"
