[Boli_rules] Oregon Labor and Industries - Notice of Permanent Rules - Civil Rights Division

On October 31, 2019, Oregon Labor and Industries filed Permanent Rules with the Oregon Secretary of State related to the following issues:

*       House Bill 2341 - Pregnancy Accommodations

o   Repeals a current OAR requiring an employer, when judging the physical ability of an individual to work, to treat a pregnant women the same as males, non-pregnant females and other employees with off-the-job illnesses or injuries

*       House Bill 2589 - Clarification that sexual orientation & transgender status are not physical or mental impairments

*       Senate Bill 123 - Repeals definition of "system" for determining pay rates under Equal Pay Act
All of the above rules become effective January 1, 2020.
