RE: Recording Time and Effort for Employees Funded Entirely or Partially with IDEA Grant Funds
Under federal requirements set forth in OMB Circular 87 and EDGAR, educational organizations are required to track time and effort to justify allocation of IDEA funds to cover personnel salaries and benefits. Please share this information with your district Business Manager as well.
ODE posts two documents on its website as model templates to be used for tracking time and effort:
1. This is the semi-annual certification for a staff person that is paid by one federal fund source and only works for one cost objective:

2. This is the regular time and effort distribution form that is used if a staff person has more than one cost objective:
