Dear Colleagues,
After much consideration, I have decided to leave my position as the Deschutes TPEP coordinator , effective December 28th. Please contact Jessica Jacks or Tom Kuhn until my replacement is hired.

I have really enjoyed working with all of you and I greatly appreciate your commitment to making Oregon a healthier place to work, live and play. Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything from me in the next few weeks. And even though I'm leaving the County I'll always be a supporter of tobacco prevention efforts. Please feel free to reach out through my personal email pennyprojectsnow at gmail.com<mailto:pennyprojectsnow at gmail.com> or connect with me on Facebook.

As for what's next, I will be following my heart back into the nonprofit world where I've previously worked for ten years. I recently accepted a position as the Director of Development and Marketing with Friends of the Children Central Oregon (FOTC), a 12.5 year mentorship program for children facing adverse childhood experiences. FOTC has been established in Portland for over 20 years and they are expanding into Central Oregon. I encourage you to check them out here www.friendsofthechildren.org<http://www.friendsofthechildren.org>, if you haven't heard of them before. Their long term mentorship model has proven to reduce incarceration rates, early parenting as well as increase graduation rates. I am beyond excited to help develop this program here in Central Oregon. I am also excited to share the skills and partnerships with FOTC that you all helped me develop over the years as a public health professional.

Best wishes,

Penny
