[CtyTobProMgrs] 10/17 & 11/7 BOH Vote on TF Lane County Properties

Good morning!



The countywide Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) includes the objective to increase the number of smoke- and tobacco-free environments in Lane County.



Tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17, the Lane County Board of Health (BOH) has the first vote on the Tobacco-Free County Properties policy in Harris Hall (125 E. 8th Ave, Eugene).  Public comment begins at 9:00 am.



On Tuesday, November 7, The BOH has the second vote and official public hearing on the Tobacco-Free County Properties policy in Harris Hall.  General public comment begins at 9:00 am, and the public hearing will be right before the item on the agenda.



If anyone would like to share their opinion about this policy, they can email the Board of Health at lcbcccom at co.lane.or.us<mailto:lcbcccom at co.lane.or.us>.  They can also testify in person at Harris Hall (125 E. 8th Ave, Eugene) on either or both dates.  Please share this information with others who may be interested in sharing their opinion about this policy.  Attached is a factsheet on TF worksites we prepared previously for the BOH.
