[DAS_Centralized_PERS_Services_Team] New options for PERS Status Checks

Payroll & HR Professionals,
PERS has implemented additional options for obtaining a status checks to assist agencies as we know many people are working at alternative locations and may not have a fax available.
Here are the options and some information to keep in mind for all:
1. Email status check requests to: DAS.Status.Checks at pers.state.or.us<mailto:DAS.Status.Checks at pers.state.or.us>
This option may only be used if you have the employee's PERS ID number. For existing state employees this can be found in Workday under "Personal information>>>Additional Data". Please do not put any portion of Social Security Numbers in an email. If you only have an SSN, please use the phone or fax options below. Please note, PERS does not use OR#, so that is not an option in place of the SSN or PERS ID.
2. Fax the attached status check form to: 503-603-7626
3. Call the PERS Employer Services Line 8:30 to 12:00 M-F at 1-888-320-7377. If you are requesting a status check for more than 4 individuals at one time, PERS will likely take down the information and return your call at a later time.
When utilizing the email option PERS will include your DAS CPERS Analyst on all responses so that we can work with you on resolving any possible issues.
