[Datamart-News] OBIEE (Oracle known issue)

Due to the removal of 'Adobe Flash Player' (no longer supported) from State of Oregon computers, in Feb 2022, it caused an issue within OBIEE. It stopped some analysis files from opening properly, when selecting the 'open' function. Since February, we have been working with Oracle to find a fix; however, we have now exhausted all our potential solutions with no resolution. Analysis files are still able to be opened by using the 'edit' function and this is what we recommend.

This issue has been very odd as some users are able to open a file and others are not. A few users have even found that changing browsers can sometimes alleviates the error; however, this is very rare.

Dashboards can be another alternative option to get around this issue. This can bypass the 'open' functionality and get the information of the file; however, the 'edit' function is still the easiest way to get into the file and work with it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are having trouble with any of your OBIEE files, please make sure to include the file name and directory so Datamart support can provide the best and fastest review.

Thanks,
