Hello, all:

I've had a question from a service provider:

Does anyone have or know of an informational brochure/document for victims that explains what a "no-contact" order is (i.e, when a defendant is on release from jail pending resolution of a case, or when a defendant is incarcerated pre-trial and charged with a sex/dv crime and is not allowed contact with the named victim)?

This question came up in the context of a conversation about how it is often confusing for victims and survivors when talking about the many different types of "no-contact" orders that are available (Restraining Orders, Stalking Orders, Release Agreements, In-Custody no-contact Orders, etc.).

You can respond directly to the listserve or to me and I can post the answer for you.

Thank you!!
