Here's what we do at Multnomah County:
1) We use the local call numbers "Downloadable ebook" or "Downloadable
audiobook"
2) We replace the general material designation [electronic resource]
with [downloadable ebook] or [downloadable audiobook] (MARC field 245h)
3) We add a locally assigned genre heading "Downloadable ebook"
or "Downloadable audiobook" (MARC field 655)
This is all done through our load table at the time the files are
downloaded -- so we don't have to fuss with records on an individual basis.
If you'd like to take a look at our records, check out our catalog at
http://www.multcolib.org/ and do a subject search under either of the genre
terms in point 3 above. There is a MARC display button if you'd like to see
the details. Hope this helps!
