The International Charter provides rapid satellite data acquisition and
end product delivery to those affected by natural or man-made disasters.
The focus is on emergency response and the process moves very quickly to
provide the requested data within hours of charter activation. More
information about the charter can be found at:
http://www.disasterscharter.org/home

Each activation requires a project manager who coordinates acquisition of
the satellite data and ensures the delivery of the requested end products.

Project Manager training for the International Charter is being offered
January 12-14, 2010 in Denver, CO. USGS will pay airfare and lodging for 1
person from Oregon to attend this training. There is no charge for the
training session itself.

If you would be able to serve as a project manager during an emergency in
Oregon and are interested in attending this training, please contact me.
This training is open to federal, state, local, and tribal governments as
well as the academic community.

Thanks,

Sheri
