GEO has recently added a Twitter account <http://twitter.com/> to our
communication toolbox. We'll be using this to provide information on
upcoming GIS-related events, new or updated datasets posted to the
Spatial Data Library
<http://spatialdata.oregonexplorer.info/GPT9/catalog/main/home.page> ,
and any other information that may be relevant to Oregon's geospatial
community. This tool also provides a way to engage in a two-way
communication; you can use it to pose questions to us or reply to
messages we post.

If you already use Twitter, follow us @OregonGEO
<http://twitter.com/OregonGEO> . If you use a news aggregator (such as
Google Reader <http://www.google.com/reader> , Internet Explorer
<http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/ie7/tour/rss/> , or MS Outlook
<http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/introduction-to-rss-HA00
1230463.aspx> ), subscribe to the Twitter RSS news feed
<http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/130888114.rss> . Or, if you
have no idea what Twitter is and really don't care, you can always stay
in tune with the latest news and information right on the Geospatial
Enterprise Office's website here
<http://gis.oregon.gov/DAS/EISPD/GEO/geoNews.shtml> .

We're excited to be able to communicate with the GIS community through
this new medium!

Thanks!

Erik
