From time to time, I have forwarded messages about the LightSquared issue to our various listservs.  The link in the message below is a really good, brief summary of the issue.  There was a serious potential for GPS interference if the LightSqaured proposal had been allowed to move forward by the FCC.  Even though that proposal appears to be dead, the issue remains and there will likely be a national effort to resolve the issues related to GPS equipment that were raised.  Some of you may want to be involved in that effort.
