[gis_info] DOGAMI has released lidar data for the Rogue Valley area

The Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI) has
rebundled and released additional lidar data for the Rogue Valley area.
Lidar (light detection and ranging) technology allows for amazingly
detailed and accurate mapping of the earth's surface. These Lidar Data
Quadrangle (LDQ) series publications require specialty software to view
and use, but you can view imagery of LDQ data online using the DOGAMI
Lidar Data Viewer.

 

The Rogue Valley 2012 extent includes all or portions of the following
U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute quadrangles: Ashland, Boswell
Mountain, Brownsboro, Cascade Gorge, Eagle Point, Emigrant Lake, Gold
Hill, Grants Pass, Grizzly Peak, Lakecreek, McConville Peak, McLeod,
Medford East, Medford West, Mount Ashland, Obenchain Mountain, Parker
Mountain, Rio Canyon, Rogue River, Sams Valley, Shady Cove, Siskiyou
Pass, Siskiyou Peak, Soda Mountain, Sterling Creek, Sugarpine Creek,
Talent, and Trail.
