Specialist II/III, GIS

The successful candidate will apply proficient knowledge of GIS software and hardware to analyze, design, develop, test, document, implement, train, administer and maintain spatial maps, products and business processes.  Apply thorough application program language skills to automate and/or enhance maps, databases, queries/reports and business processes.  Lead special initiatives/projects and tasks as assigned, prepare and deliver presentations, writing papers/process documentation, teach desktop GIS software skills to users, provide support for GIS application related questions and problems.

Typically a degree in geography or one of the fields related to GIS applications plus up to one to two years of experience. Applicants should have proficient knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Desktop 10.1, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Server for SharePoint, Microsoft SharePoint principles and techniques. Also, proficient knowledge of MS Access, SQL, Python, scripting and database design. Able to lift 50 lbs. Some work may require travel and working in other areas of the company. Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.

The position is described at the Specialist II / III level, but the position will be filled at the level commensurate with the experience of the selected candidate.
