Sheri Schneider, the USGS Geospatial Liaison for Oregon, is retiring July
3, 2014.  Tom Carlson will be taking over her responsibilities after that
date. Please don't hesitate to contact him with any questions or for
assistance.

Tom's bio is below -

Tom Carlson is a USGS Geospatial Liaison in the PNW Region. In this
capacity, he is responsible for geospatial coordination with State,
Federal, local, tribal and other partners and other USGS disciplines in the
Region. He is also involved in supporting Geologic Mapping and Hazards
activities. Tom has also received training as a Project Manager for the
International Charter Activation. Tom’s office is located in the Washington
Water Science Center, Tacoma, WA.

Tom received his Ph.D. in Geography from the University of California,
Davis in 2003, and both his Masters of Science and Bachelors of Science in
Geography from Portland State University in 1997 and 1995, respectively.
Tom is a broadly trained Geographer with an interest in using Geographic
Information Technologies for modeling hazards and for landscape change
studies. Tom's professional background includes 12 years of teaching
college level Geography and GIS.

Tom is also a Master Scuba Diver Trainer, certified by the Professional
Association of Dive Instructors (PADI) and when not working he teaches
scuba diving and dives in Puget Sound, Hawaii, Florida and Mexico. He lives
in Tacoma with his wife Diane and son Ian.
