[Health_Education_Promotion] Free workshops on environmental health issues in the home

Do you or your staff get questions about lead, mold, pesticides, asthma, safe toys or other common environmental health issues in homes?  Would you like to learn more about these issues and be able to provide more information to your clients?  If so, please consider attending an EH at Home workshop in your area.

 EH at Home is a new Oregon State University partnership between the Extension Service and the Environmental Health Sciences Center that provides an educational forum for individuals and professionals who have an interest in environmental health in the home. EH at Home will focus on common environmental health concerns found in residential settings.

OSU Faculty will present the latest research findings on key environmental health issues found in homes.  Through engaging, hands-on activities participants will be able to recognize common problems, identify risk reduction strategies, and know when to use specialists for further assistance. These workshops will focus on practical, low- and no-cost solutions to many common environmental health issues in the home.

Dates and Locations:
Monday, April 12: Salem
Tuesday, April 20: Eugene
Wednesday, May 5: Oregon City
Wednesday, May 19: Portland

Time: All workshops are 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM and include lunch.

Cost: FREE!

Workshops will address:
1) The ABCs of Environmental Health
2) Chemicals in the Diet
3) Indoor Air Quality
4) Pesticides & Alternatives for Pest Control
5) Healthy Kids and Safe Toys

Lunch will be provided along with a Certificate of Attendance.
