*ONE-YEAR TEMPORARY FULL-TIME HEALTH EDUCATION FACULTY POSITION
at the Sylvania Campus, 2013-2014 academic year*

The Division of Science and Engineering at the Sylvania campus has a
temporary one-year full-time Health Education position for the 2013-2014
academic year.

*Minimum qualifications:*

·         Instructor has a master’s degree in health education, community
health, or related field with graduate course in fitness, nutrition, health
behavior, sexuality, psychology, disease, and environment. Instructor has
demonstrated competency by additional course work or prior teaching
experience in the specific CCOG content area.   OR
·         Instructor has a Master’s degree with 30 quarter hours of
graduate credit in academic courses in fitness, nutrition, health behavior,
sexuality, psychology, disease, and environment. Instructor has
demonstrated competency by additional course work or prior teaching
experience in the specific CCOG content area.

Preferred qualifications: *

·         In addition to the required educational credentials, the ideal
candidate will have experience teaching Health at a community college.
 ·         It is also preferred that the candidate have one or more of the
following  American Red Cross instructor certifications:  Responding to
Emergencies, AED and  CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Community/Workplace
First Aid, Adult, Child, Infant CPR, Wilderness and Remote First Aid, and
instructor authorization in Automated External Defibrillator (AED)


In accordance with Article 3.64 of the faculty contract, current part-time
employees in the subject area, as well as full-time faculty with temporary
appointments in the subject area, and other employees are invited to apply.
