Hello,
We are excited to announce we received a one-year grant from Regence for our Clinical Outreach and Training Coordinator/expansion of the screen and intervene pilot for $80,000! We are really excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to the expansion.

Just to remind everyone, this grant will provide funding for OFB to hire a Clinical Outreach and Training Coordinator whose purpose will be to expand the screen and intervene pilot to more sites throughout Oregon. For some quick metrics, the Coordinator will:

*         Have agreements to implement the clinical food security "Screen and Intervene"  model in five new clinical settings

*         Conduct outreach and training about the clinical food security "Screen and Intervene"  model to at least 15 additional clinics and/or health systems

*         Develop and refine educational resources about food insecurity and food assistance for health care providers

*         Identify and create opportunities for participating providers and other partners to collaborate.

We would love for those that are interested to participate in the hiring process. We currently have a draft of a job description that Sarah Flynn, Advocacy & Community Engagement Manager who will be overseeing this position and who came to the last CHC meeting, will be sending out later today to you all to review. Additionally, we'd love to have any of you interested in participating in the interview panel. Just let us know!
