YSPNetworkers,

A health education job working with youth in Deschutes County through the
School-based Health Centers. Here is part of the job description:

Position will coordinate and implement Youth Advisory Committees and lead a
mental health research project in partnership with Deschutes County School
Based Health Clinics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
building capacity in youth leadership through the formation of two to three
youth advisory committees at local high schools throughout Deschutes
County. The Youth Advisory Committee will focus on the prevention and
promotion of healthy behaviors, and develop strategies to promote a culture
where youth will actively engage in asking for help for mental health
issues.

This is a grant-funded position with the goal to work toward
destigmatization for seeking out mental health services within the school
and throughout the community. Successful candidates will be comfortable
working with adolescents, and be experienced in facilitating group
processes. *Performs other duties as required.*
