Workshop proposals are now being accepted for the upcoming conference: 
*Making Connections:  Promoting Mental Wellness & Reducing Adverse 
Childhood Experiences.* The conference will be held at the Valley River 
Inn in Eugene, Oregon on November 4-6, 2014.

Goals for the conference are to:

1.  Increase understanding about mental wellness: the connection to our 
overall health

2.  Learn about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs):   the cutting-edge 
research, impacts on child and adult health, and effective strategies to 
reduce ACEs and increase resilience

3.  Reflect on our work

·Apply the science behind what we know is effective

·Develop new strategies

·Enhance current approaches

_Workshops will be 90 minutes in length_, allowing for some time at the 
end for questions.  Anticipated conference attendees include healthcare 
providers, behavioral health treatment/prevention specialists, 
educators, social service providers, and legal and law enforcement 
professionals.

Conference registration fees will be waived for those presenters selected.

To submit a proposal, please go to the conference website at 
www.connectionsconference.org <http://www.connectionsconference.org>, 
and click on "Call for Workshop Proposals." *Deadline for submissions is 
May 1, 2014. *

Notification of acceptance will be no later than June 1, 2014.
