Lane County Public Health is currently recruiting for the Drug Free
Communities, DFC, Grant Coordinator.  We are currently in the 4th year of a
(potential) 10 year grant.  This position supports the Eugene Springfield
Prevention Coalition.  The goals of the grant include increasing local
capacity and leadership as well as reducing youth use of alcohol, marijuana
and prescription drugs. The DFC Coordinator is part of the Alcohol and Drug
Prevention team in the Prevention and Planning Section of Public Health.
In addition to alcohol and other drug prevention, the Prevention and
Planning Section includes staff working in Suicide Prevention/Mental Health
Promotion, Tobacco Prevention, Problem Gambling Prevention, and support for
the local Coordinated Care Organization’s efforts in prevention.  We are a
dynamic group of professionals and routinely explore ways our motto, ‘It’s
all connected!’ can be realized.
