Good Morning Tribal TPEP Coordinators,

We hope this finds you all well! There are several initiatives and training opportunities in December, please find the information below for dates and registration. Additionally, all webinars will be recorded and posted to the TPEP portal for you to view after the event.

Please let me know if you have any questions! We are also happy to set up one-on-one TA for anyone interested in diving into these topic areas for your community.


  1.  Counter Tools Webinars in December and January.
     *   Please join us in December for a Counter Tools - led conversation about presenting your public health protection policies to non-public health audiences, Tues. Dec. 9th 1 pm-2 pm.   1.  Retail pharmacists can soon prescribe FDA-approved medications for quitting tobacco (webinar: 12/14, 11AM-noon).
     *   The Oregon State University College of Pharmacy Continuing Education Department, with support from HPCDP, worked with the Oregon Board of Pharmacy to implement protocols that allow retail pharmacists to prescribe medications for quitting tobacco to walk-in customers. This include nicotine replacement therapy and oral medications. Learn how and where this initiative is rolling out across the state.   1.  TODAY - Smokefree Oregon Cessation Campaign English Language Webinar 12/7 - Register now!
     *   This winter's Smokefree Oregon cessation campaign kicks off the week of December 14! This is the first of two webinars to share new ads, campaign strategy, and tools your program can to use to help people quit this winter. Smokefree Oregon has new ads in English and Spanish, and we're hosting webinars in both languages. This winter's campaign is especially important with tobacco and e-cigarette prices increasing on January 1.
