The Oregon African American Museum and generous co-sponsors, Oregon
Northwest Black Pioneers (ONWBP), William Hart of Carleton-Hart
Architecture and Bosco-Milligan Foundation/Architectural Heritage Center
proudly present a one-day conference entitled Sustaining Oregon’s
African American History and Legacy on FEBRUARY 14, 2011 at 10:00 A.M.,
Architectural Heritage Center, 701 SE Grand Avenue, Portland, OR 97214. 

The conference will be held at the Bosco-Milligan
Foundation/Architectural Heritage Center located at 701 SE Grand Avenue,
Portland, Oregon.  The conference begins at 10:00 a.m. and the cost of
the conference is $30.00 which includes lunch and a 1-year subscription
to American Legacy Magazine.  Space is limited and registration deadline
is January 30, 2011. You may register and/or obtain more information at

The conference brings together a host of community and national leaders
dedicated to collecting, preserving, interpreting and exhibiting
material evidence of the African American experience.   Keynote speaker,
Rodney J. Reynolds, Founder, Publisher & CEO of American Legacy Magazine
will open the morning session.  The American Legacy magazine is a
premier magazine of African-American history and culture which brings to
light new stories of great men and women whose struggles, triumphs, and
accomplishments compose African American remarkable history which
continues to empower us.

Parking near the Architectural Heritage Center is very limited and we
encourage carpooling and/or public transportation.
