Hi all,

You may have seen the Oregon Department of Education's recent guidelines on creating a safe and supportive school environment for transgender students (if not, find it here<http://media.oregonlive.com/education_impact/other/Transgender%20Student%20Guidance%205-5-16.pdf>).

Reading the document made me wonder whether our library collections have a good selection of books on this topic. I came up with a short list of newer -- mostly 2014-16 -- fiction and nonfiction titles to add for various age levels.

Gender identity booklist (K-12)<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jkLTtBwH65ZxVOoquGH7zgJR2Hgd81jXSevcjOQNMSU/edit?usp=sharing>

I think it's an important topic. Please suggest titles and I'll add them to my shared list!

Thanks,
