Hello All,

Please excuse the cross-postings. I'm trying to cast a very wide net. 

And the Fall Meeting of the Eastern Oregon Library Association is just 2.5
weeks away!

 

This meeting is divided into a morning & afternoon session.  EOLA business &
presentations will be held in the morning.  The afternoon offers the special
opportunity of a half-day Book Repair Workshop, courtesy of the Support
Staff Division of OLA.  

 

SSD BOOK REPAIR WORKSHOP:  Description

Brought to us by the OLA's Special Services Division (SSD), Kris Kern from
Portland State University will cover the essential techniques of book repair
and conservation.  The fee is $50 for SSD members or $60 for non-members.
Pre-registration for the workshop is required by notifying EOLA V.P. Perry
Stokes (541.523.6419 | director at bakerlib.org) .  Payment will be collected
at the start of the workshop.  Options are by cash or by check.  Early
registration is encouraged as space is limited to 20 people.  The fee covers
a book mending kit and book bag for each participant.  

 

One may opt to attend either the morning or afternoon sessions or both.  The
morning session is free (The EOLA secretary will collect annual dues if
you'd like to pay at that time).  

 

Please do note that participation in the Book Repair workshop is $60 ($50
for OLA SSD members) per person.  The workshop is open to anyone who could
use the information whether school library, museum, public library or other
staff. 

 

Lunch at 11:30 is courtesy of the La Grande Public Library.

needed for the EOLA meeting.)
