[Libs-Or] PC-based Cash register and point of sale systems - anyone use one?

We are looking into the possibility of moving all our cash register
functions (except the cash drawer) to a PC hosted system.  I'm seeking
information from anyone who is using such a system.  Hardware and
software information would be most welcome - including any good vendors.
