[Libs-Or] Database Trainings

The Oregon State Library is sponsoring FREE  in-person trainings on our statewide databases, Gale and LearningExpress Library. We will offer the training in Klamath Falls on April 25th, Redmond on April 27th, and Hermiston on April  28th.  We will have a morning and afternoon session each day. The morning will be an introduction to Gale and to LearningExpress Library and will primarily be presentation. The optional afternoon session will be "Creating Subject Pages"  in Gale. This 2.5 hour session will be a workshop on creating a linkable page that highlights the resources you have chosen for a specific subject and allows your patrons easy access to those periodicals and eBooks best suited to their needs. Please bring a laptop if you have one available, it is NOT required.  While the training is free we will NOT be providing snacks or lunch.  The trainings will be held from 9 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 to 4:00 pm. The intent is to provide basic training in the morning on both the statewide databases and to offer an enhanced training session in the afternoon that will provide more depth about the Gale databases.
