Seeking I-DIAs for Tweens:

Does your library or school provide multicultural programming to children ages 10 – 14? Have you presented programs or activities for tweens that focus on other cultures, or explore the world? Is there a cultural fair in your community in which your library participates?

If so, please share your ideas! The Public Awareness Committee of ALA/ALSC is seeking programming examples that promote multicultural awareness for pre-teens, and which can be used by other libraries to promote Diversity in Action for year-round “El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children’s Day/Book Day)” celebrations. With your contact information, include:

--a program overview
--images: photographs, slide show, video
--literacy tie-in

Please forward your multicultural tween programming success stories by May 5 to Robin Howe at rhowe at kcls.org, and thank you!
