Hello Programmers,
I'm soliciting advice about how to handle the project management side of programming. Do you have tools or lists that are especially helpful? How do you keep track of what staff are working on what components, meeting publicity deadlines, etc.
I'm not sure if this is the same for all member libraries, but at Sherwood we are primarily on the WCCLS server and have to login to our City-side server to access shared drives. Because of this, many staff use USB drives for saving their files for programming, making it awkward to collaborate on projects. I could make an Excel spreadsheet for tracking our programs & projects, but it's time intensive for staff to login to the City side for access, so I'm trying to think outside the box.
I'm especially interested to hear whether anyone uses web-based project management tools and what you think of them.
Thanks for any tips you can share,
