I hope all of you will put your hands together in a warm (or raucous!) round of applause for Karen Muller, who, as of July 1, is Hillsboro Public Library's new Assistant Director! Many of you know Karen from her work with the Oregon Library Association's Public Library Division, particularly their standards project. Immediately prior to becoming our Assistant Director, Library Operations, Karen served as our Manager, Materials Services, the division which comprises all aspects of the collection, including Materials Movement. We could not be happier to have her in this leadership role in Hillsboro.

Karen is taking over for Linda Lybecker, who retired on June 30 after more than 35 years of library service, 18 of which were with Hillsboro.
