Sara R. Mack was served as a school librarian in her early years, but her
most significant contributions were as a member of the faculty at Kutztown
State College, Kutztown, PA (now Kutztown University), where she taught
Library Science courses for 25 years and became department chair before she
retired. Mack influenced generations of school, public and academic
librarians, some of whom became library school faculty themselves.  (More
