Billie Taylor, who works at the Southern Oregon Historical Society Library in Jackson County, was the 2016 recipient of the Southern Oregon Library Federation's $200 scholarship for a library-related workshop, conference, or training of her choice. Congratulations to Billie and thank you also to the eight library workers who applied for this scholarship. SOLF's annual membership dues of $10 fund this scholarship as well as pay for continuing education opportunities at the two annual (fall and spring) SOLF meetings. SOLF membership is open to all library workers in the school, public, academic, and special libraries of Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Lake Counties. SOLF is one of the longest standing regional library associations in the State of Oregon. To join SOLF, mail $10 to SOLF Treasurer, Nathalie Johnston, 126 S. Third St., Klamath Falls, OR 97601. And again, yay for Billie! We eagerly await your report on the conference you'll choose and what you learned there. Thank you to Kate Lasky and Josephine County Libraries for hosting SOLF's Fall meeting.
