Good Morning
First, thank you for reporting the complaints and challenges about Teen
Vogue to ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom <http://www.ala.org/oif>.
Your report makes a difference.
Second, we’ve had a number of challenges so far and would like to organize
a virtual meeting or a support webinar. This would be an efficient way for
us to identify the underlying issues and how libraries should respond. We
can discuss ways ALA can support your libraries with a letter or talking
points. And most importantly, hear from you about the specific complaints
and what your concerns are in addressing them.
I’ve created a doodle poll <https://doodle.com/poll/7quzcz2udbqmcqi6> for
you to share your availability for next week. If you could please complete
it by *NOON on FRIDAY 8/11*, then I can send out a meeting invite with
details for the virtual meeting. Please let me know if you’re not
interested in participating.
Also if you know of other librarians who are dealing with this challenge,
don’t hesitate to share this doodle poll and introduce them via email. Or
have them report the challenge on our online form
<http://www.ala.org/tools/challengesupport/report>.
