Customer Service Coordinator

The Lake County Library District is seeking a qualified individual to fill an immediate opening for a Customer Service Coordinator. The Coordinator works the service desk at the Main Library in Lakeview, develops and maintains our customer service manual, trains staff on customer service, and trains and oversees shelving volunteers.

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED and two years of experience in library services or related field is required. Significant customer service and wide reading experience is greatly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a criminal background check.

This is a part-time (30-hr per week) position at the Library Assistant II scale, currently $10.87-$13.21. Benefits include health insurance, PERS, and a generous vacation policy. Occasional evenings and Saturday work required. Those seeking full time employment can also indicate their interest in cataloging items into the library collection. Cataloging requires a strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex rules.
