[Libs-Or] Celebration to Honor Perri Parise

Calling all Emporia Oregon students and alumni!

As many of you have already heard by now, our beloved adviser, Perri
Parise, is retiring at the end of this term. She has undoubtedly touched
many lives in her years with Emporia, and we want to send her off into
retirement with style.

That's why everyone is cordially invited to a Celebration Honoring Perri
Parise, on Sunday, August 11th at 5pm at APEX in Portland

If you'd like to bring a donation of one book, we're collecting for Street
Books <http://streetbooks.org/> in honor of Perri's continuing charitable
work.

All are welcome to attend! Please feel free to share this with anyone you
know who isn't on the Libs-Or listserv but may be interested.

NOTE: APEX is a cash-only beer bar. They have an ATM, and gladly allow
outside food. There are several places nearby to grab food, including Los
Gorditos <https://www.losgorditospdx.com/> (which offers vegetarian and
vegan options) and Aviv <https://avivpdx.com/> (vegan Israeli food). Or you
can make something yourself and bring to share, potluck-style! All food is
welcome.
