Are you interested in supporting and enhancing library reference and
information services? Do you like to share your ideas and learn more from
other Oregon library staff? Do you enjoy planning events either on the
frontlines or supporting them behind the scenes? The Oregon Reference
Summit is seeking members to help us plan and implement upcoming events and
offerings and we’d love to have you join us!

The Oregon Reference Summit has existed for several years in different
iterations to provide support, education and collaboration around library
reference and information services. The Summit has been a yearly in-person
conference. In 2020 the in-person conference was canceled due to the
pandemic but the planning team pivoted to offering ongoing virtual learning
opportunities.

In 2022, the Oregon Reference Summit planning team will continue to offer
virtual presentations with a plan to offer a traditional in-person
conference in 2023.

Expectations for the committee include monthly meetings as well as time to
plan and implement these events. This can include logistics,
communications, soliciting presenters and topic ideas, hosting virtual
events, as well as other support tasks. Generally, the time commitment is
about 1-2 hours per month though that can vary nearer events.

If you are interested, please contact Lori (lorim at multco.us) or Sandra (
ors.cochair.sandra.dixon at gmail.com). We welcome your questions as well!
