**Apologies for cross-posting

Good Afternoon,

Have an idea for presentation on staff training but don't want to submit a proposal for a 75 minute session? Talk to us and send you idea our way!

We're getting down to the wire for the deadline for OLA Annual Conference session proposals (October 15th). The Staffing Training Round Table(STRT) just met an hour ago and have an initial idea for a proposal. To keep things low commitment for all, we are looking for individuals who have interest in partnering on presentation for 1 session-75 minutes in length total. This would mean that you would only be responsible for 15-20 minutes to present. Here is a link to the Staff Training Round Table<https://www.olaweb.org/staff-training-round-table-home> page for context.

We're a pretty active group. There are a handful of us that meet monthly. Since the deadline for proposals is before our next meeting, we're just asking for about 15-20 minutes of your time next week (October 10-14) to flesh out our ideas so we can roll it into a conference proposal. For those of you who haven't looked into the theme for the OLA conference, feel free to take look at the proposal application<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfraY8m0ynGx6HIewtnyiGoSPkK8ND_dqSo5GGkfhrgbhYi-g/viewform> here. To be clear, we will be making 1 application all together and your idea/presentation does not have to be fully formed. We just want to see if you are interested in collaborating with us.

So far, we are looking at 3 presentations on the following topics areas:

  1. To record or not to record. Best practices of determining if a training should be in-person or online. If in-person training happens, best practices for turning that into an online training. (we have this covered)

  1. Best practices for hybrid or blended learning (soliciting your ideas)

  1. New ways to do asynchronous -module training-niche otherwise (soliciting your ideas)

We look forward to hearing your ideas and to partner on this presentations. Please let us know if you have questions. Please email me directly at jennifer.cox at slo.oregon.gov<mailto:jennifer.cox at slo.oregon.gov>. and I'll get you connected with our group to some quick planning and a bit of word smithing.

Sincerely,
