We are looking for more Oregon library workers to be a part of a session at
the 2023 Oregon Library Association’s Annual Conference! Can you help?
The session: 3D Printing in Your Library
The concept: Join Vanessa Clausing from Newport Public Library and share
your experiences with having a 3D printer in your library! We will be
discussing the ins and outs of having a 3D printer in your library. This
includes a look at policies your library should consider having, the cost
of a 3D printer and all the supplies, whether to share costs with patrons,
and what kinds of software are more effective.
Who should be interested? Library staff who support some type of public use
of a 3D printer in a library setting and who will be at the OLA Annual
Conference in Bend on Friday, April 21.
How long will each presenter have to talk? Ultimately, that will be decided
by the team as it comes together. Probably about 5-10 minutes of content
each.
Interested? Have questions? Please reach out to OLA Program Chair Sonja
Somerville at olaprograms at olaweb.org
Thanks for considering!
SONJA SOMERVILLE, OLA 2023 Conference Committee Program Chair
