When a person transitions from one gender role/bodily sex to another, everyone they are close to also undertakes their own form of transition. This course will examine the nature of transition from the perspective of family members/close friends. This course requires no prior knowledge of trans issues and is designed for counselors, therapists and other mental healthcare professionals, school counselors, and staff at family services agencies. $250, includes 15 CEUs or PDUs. $350 for 1 semester hour of continuing education credit.

This workshop will engage participants in the use of primary source documents to revisit the history of the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921. Participants will write interior monologues/poems, construct templates for persuasive essays about reparations to victims and survivors, and develop a framework for classroom inquiry into the implications of “omissions” from traditional textbooks. $30, includes 3 CEUs or PDUs.
