We are finalizing details for the Winter Oregon Main Street Training/Workshop, Friday, Feb 4, 8 am to noon in Molalla. The Workshop will feature developing a brand strategy and tourism marketing. Registration is required, but attendance is free for Oregon Main Street Network communities.

Our featured speaker is Bill Baker with Destination Branding. Mr. Baker is a widely published author and expert on tourism and destination branding, is in demand internationally as a keynote speaker. His entertaining and thought-provoking sessions are crammed with practical ideas that illustrate how cities, towns and regions can build a magnetic brand and unite stakeholders and partners.

The workshop is two-fold:

1. Developing a Brand Identity. Our guest speaker will demystify the concept of branding and show how a community can develop a durable, competitive advantage and provide real world examples of successful small cities, as well as affordable, proven tools and checklists to launch and manage a winning small city brand.

2. Fifteen Ground Rules to Community Tourism Success. 
During this session, Bill shares a lifetime of practical experience and explains how cities, towns and regions can use simple, cost-effective techniques and ideas to attract more income, halt leaking dollars, boost customer satisfaction, and increase local prosperity, yet still conserve their valuable marketing funds. This session is specifically designed for communities with small budgets wanting to build their reputation, visitor spending, economic well-being and a better ROI.
