Just a reminder to consider participating in RDI's "Powered by Rural"
campaign. This is a great opportunity to spotlight some of the great
projects and activities volunteers are doing across Oregon to help
preserve your historic downtowns!

Led by Rural Development Initiatives, the Powered by Rural campaign is
designed to increase awareness of rural issues and opportunities,
strengthen rural communities by giving a voice to rural people, and
provide the tools and resources to take action and help increase
community vitality. 
 
We want to hear from you!
RDI knows there is power in rural communities and we want to help you
showcase your power to those with the means to make the biggest impact
in your community. The Powered by Rural campaign has garnered a lot of
attention from those in granting, the media, and business. They are
looking to the campaign to get updates on rural communities and to see
examples of active and engaged rural citizens who are worthy of
supporting. By sharing what is powerful about your community and
showcasing the work your community is doing, you will be able to attract
the attention of these groups. 
 
Share your stories to make an impact and improve rural communities.
Share your successes, best practices, and inspire others to become more
involved in their own communities.

By helping your community garner the attention of those with the most
means to help your community, we are fulfilling our mission to help
rural communities thrive. We have launched the Powered by Rural campaign
as a free resource for you to showcase your power in hopes of also
sparking a new interest in civic engagement. 
 
Powered by Rural is about raising awareness and is educational in
nature. Joining Powered by Rural is free and commitment is minimal. We
ask that you do something- big or small- to improve your community,
encourage others to do the same, and share your stories with us so that
we can help you get the attention and recognition you deserve.
