Oregon Main Street Network Meeting/Training, January 24-25, 2013. 
Just a reminder to register for the Oregon Main Street non-profit "mini-training" or the full day "It's a Circus Out There" workshop if you are planning on attending at: http://winteromsmtg.eventbrite.com
Both the mini-training and the workshop will be at the Reed Opera House Trinity Ballroom at 189 Liberty St in downtown Salem (corner of Liberty & Court Streets). See below for details & hotel suggestions.
 
The Winter Oregon Main Street Network Meeting and Training will be in Salem on January 24-25, 2013. The network meeting is typically open to just the top two tier communities. We are opening this network meeting up to other network communities as we will have a "mini-training" with an attorney specializing in non-profit law. This is a topic that is pertinent to the entire network so we want to encourage all to attend. The "mini-training" will be 3-5 p.m.

On the second day, January 25, we will hold a workshop to help you juggle the many responsibilities of working with your downtown revitalization organization. The workshop, "It's a Circus Out There: Better Work on Your Balancing Act!," will be with Marian Boyd, former state coordinator in Arkansas. This session will offer ideas on all the hundreds of things that you do on a day-to-day basis to run an effective organization. It will be tons of fun plus full of great info you can put to use immediately. Topics include:
-professionalism
-time management
-communication
-conquering technology
-stress management
