Hi Anne Arnold Clark,

I think you meant your message for Jean Raabe, not for me. But thank you
anyway.

I guess it is about time I posted the line I am researching and quit just
being interested in what the rest of you are doing. My g-g-grand parents
were Isaac and Percellia Ann Hannah Arnold. They came by from Iowa in 1852
with Isaac's four children from his second marriage. They traveled by wagon
train to Linn Co. via the Barlow Road. Perceilla had twins on the trail.
The girl half of the set died and was buried where the Snake River and
Willow Creek join near the Idaho border. The boy lived for some years
longer and died as a child. They had a total of 15 children together with
12 born in Linn Co. Add this to the one Isaac sired with his first wife and
five by the second makes him father to 21 but not all lived. I know quite a
bit about the family from Isaac to present and some about his parents Thomas
and Margaret Noel Arnold and Isaac's siblings. What I am so frustrated
about is not being able to find who the parents, siblings, grandparents, etc
of Thomas and Margaret were. Both were born in Virginia in the 1770's
(Thomas @ 1778 and Margaret @ 1782). Anyone out there who can help me? I
would also be willing to share the information I do have.

Thanks for any help!

Jean

Anne Comer wrote recently that she was looking for more information on her
Arnold family of Thomas Arnold born about 1776 and Margaret Noel Arnold born
about 1782 in VA. I also have Thomas, Margarets and Isaac Arnolds in my
family tree but nothing that seems to match up 100 % with hers.

My Thomas Arnold was born about 1645 in Virginia and married Grace Doyle.
They had a family of 4 children and one of them was Isaac Arnold born about
1685 in Old Rappahannock Co. Va. and Married Margaret Goffe in 1707. He
also later married a Mary. From this union they had 9 children, and one of
them was an Isaac who married Sarah Morton. This Isaac Junior was born
about 1708 in King George Va.

When looking for Arnold stuff online go to Google. com and search. You
will be amazed at what you can find. There is more stuff being put online
all the time. Good luck on your research. It is a blast to find things
and just to do the research. I enjoy reading all the research stuff on this
list. It has given me lots more tips and ideas for research than the
contributers will ever know.

Oh, my Grt. grt. grandfather, Thomas L. Arnold came to Malheur Co. Oregon in
1882 and settled at the Agency ranch which had just been taken out of an
Indian Reservation. My Grt. Grandfather , Thomas F. came on to Harney
County Oregon and our family has been here since.
