Thanks for those links.

There is a map of Clackamas County at http://www.gis.state.or.us/data/ormap/clackamastr.htm that shows the relationship of all the towns mentioned in this conversation.

In the Teens and early Twenties my parents used to take the Estacada trolley from near Oregon City up the Clackamas River to a camp ground where Dad loved to fish. I think it was called Jennings Lodge, but I'm not sure. Even in the 50's when I was a kid in Portland, there was an "InterUrban Trolley" from the East end of the Hawthorne Bridge to Oregon City. I only rode it to the Oaks Amusement Park, but believe that there was a transfer point to the Estacada Trolley in Milwaukee.

The Estacada Chamber has a nice site at http://www.estacadachamber.org

Hope this helps

<Colette, Could she have meant OTTY ROAD? It is located in Clackamas County near <what is now Clackamas Town Center Mall. It would travel between 82nd and 92nd?

<Anne, I am almost sure she was living in the Portland area. The back says the pictures <are from Sandy's Nu-Prints, Portland, Oregon.

Clackamas County obtained its current boundaries in 1854. Multnomah County and the city of Portland are just a few blocks North of Otty Road, see:

  http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/county/cpclackamashome.html

You might try searching or finding a volunteer to search the Clackamas County census for your family and looking also for the nearby Lion's (Farm) Family mentioned on your postcard:

  http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/county/cpclack/cpclackcensus.html

or check the County Records of maps showing roads and railroads:

  http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/county/cpclack/cpclackmap.html

You might also contact the Museum of the Oregon Territory library (located in Oregon City) to see if they have any records of the nearby "Lion's Farm" or the "Estacada railroad lines" mentioned on your postcard :

  Best wishes on your search,
  Anne

<Would anyone know if this street or road still exists, or if it has a
  <different name.

<I have a postcard from a gr. aunt and she sent the postcard (1940's
<or1950's) to her brother and on the back she wrote:

<I live between 82 and 92 Ave on Olly (Ally) Road. Do you remember where
<the Standard Oil Stations are on 82st near the Estacada Railroad tracks. I
<live 1 mile South on 82 and 4 blocks on Olly Road right in front of the
  <Lion's farm.
